Ebijay / DJ Tek biography
Two Aliases – a musical spectrum between bass and groove
At the age of 18, he discovered his passion for electronic music – a spark that quickly grew into a lasting fire. His first experiences as a DJ were at parties organized by his circle of
friends, where renowned DJs also played. The journey began with “Wonderland I+II” and “Overview”. Soon after followed the legendary “Oh it's a Free Party” series – which was much harder and more deeply rooted in the underground. Off-locations such as the Gebe-Fabrik or the legendary EKH, as well as an open-air event in a motocross pit near Hollabrunn, were used as venues. These events embodied the raw, unpolished spirit of the early ’90s rave era – freely accessible, collectively organized, and full of energy.
Shaped by the System Sound movement of the ’90s – a time when sound, space, and community merged into one – DJ Tek found another place to thrive with the Pong Sound System. No other Viennese sound system lived the Free-Tekkno spirit as uncompromisingly and authentically as Pong.
Here he was active for years as a resident DJ and co-responsible for the unmistakable sound at numerous system parties. Whether at “Pongs Strikes Back”, the legendary “Tribe Hype” events at Club Massive, or Pong parties in off-locations –
DJ Tek was always part of that movement that understood electronic music as a lifestyle: raw, collective, non-commercial, and full of energy.
DJ Tek – Raw & Hard Under this alias, he presents harder, bass-heavy sounds – from techno to drum & bass. DJ Tek stands for energy, attitude, and often underground vibes. The sets are driving, edgy, and uncompromising – always focused on the essentials: groove and impact. As co-founder of the collective Jump & Run (1997, with Mike Palmer and Harry Unger), he shaped numerous events with a clear focus on hard, driving sound.
Since 2023, he has also been shaking up the Viennese Crossfit scene – at Zonefit he has found his musical playground. With energetic, driving techno sounds starting at 150 BPM, he guarantees maximum motivation and sweat-inducing sessions.
A powerful drum & bass set is occasionally added to provide variation and extra drive.
EbiJay – Groove & Deep Over the years, his love for deep, jazzy sounds grew – and his second alter ego, EbiJay, was
born. Here his musical spectrum opens towards house music in all its facets:
• Deep House
• Soulful / Vocal House
• Minimal House / Tech House
• Funky / Classic / Disco / Jazzy
• Afro-House & Ethno
EbiJay stands for flow between genres and a sensitive selection – feeling the sounds intuitively and always with the right sense for atmosphere and emotion.
Since 2022, he started the new event series “Danube Vibes” – a format that connects electronic music with a special sense of place. What began as a summer open-air series along the Danube quickly evolved into a flexible concept. Whether Blue7 Lounge, Uferhaus,
Friedel Gastro, or Himmel und Wasser – the location by the water is not what counts, but the vibe.
Danube Vibes stands for relaxed settings, good music, and open encounters. More dates and new locations – also away from the Danube – are planned as long as atmosphere and sound match.

DJ Medo biography
DJ MEDO – Driven by the Beat Since 1994

Inspired by pioneers like The Advent, Jeff Mills, and Derrick May, he fully immersed himself in techno by age 16. Early influences ranged from Detroit Techno and Acid to Tribal and Deep House. After years of refining his sound, he went public in 1998, launching the RED BOX – a weekly event at the Mödling Youth Center, which he ran successfully for two years.
In 2003, he co-founded the Highlife Crew with Christoph Steinacher (Löwenhertz), DJ C-Man, and DJ Acarde (Chris Marshal). Together, they launched the AREA 21 series at Campus21 in Brunn am Gebirge, drawing crowds of up to 400 and hosting both national and international acts like Sutter Cane, Cosmo, and Dave Slide. These events boosted MEDO’s visibility and led to bookings at major venues and festivals.

Beyond DJing, MEDO made a mark as a reviewer for Partysan and OE4 MAG, and held long-term residencies at Club Mirage, V-Club, and Moulin Rouge. Known for his non-mainstream sound and forward-thinking sets, he consistently stood out in the scene.
Since 2008, he’s been a fixture on FM4’s Digital Konfusion Mixshow, delivering high-energy Industrial Techno sets every Saturday night. In 2017, he released his debut EP Time with DJ Joe-Joe on Galacta Records.
